Casino Night Fundraiser Recap: A Night of Fun, Fellowship, and Fundraising

On October 10th, we hosted our "Safe Bet" Casino Night fundraiser, and we are thrilled to share the highlights of the evening! It was a night filled with fun, laughter, great food, and most importantly, a united effort to support survivors of domestic violence through the work of Our 3 Memorial Foundation.

Held at the stunning Vault Venue in Brandon, MS, the atmosphere was buzzing with excitement as guests arrived dressed to the nines, ready for an evening of casino games, delicious hors d'oeuvres, and smooth tunes from the incredibly talented Tara Janique. From blackjack to roulette, the tables offered friendly competition as attendees tried their hand at winning the night’s amazing raffle prizes.

We couldn't have pulled off this incredible evening without the help of our sponsors and donors. Special thanks go to our sponsors, The Vault Venue and Gallaspy Enterprises for making the event possible with their generous support. Additionally, a heartfelt thank you to each and every donor , including gorjana Jewelry, Walk-On's Bistreaux, Kendra Scott Jewelry, Chipotle, Gourmet Gift Baskets, Mishee's Epiphanies, and Coffee Prose. Each donation was vital in making the night special for our attendees and raising funds for our mission.

A Bittersweet Outcome

While the event was a success in terms fellowship, we fell short of our fundraising goal, which delays our ability to open our first SAFE Space unit for survivors of domestic violence. This was disappointing, but we are far from discouraged. Thanks to the generosity of donors, sponsors, and attendees, we raised enough funds to continue our mission and expand our programs that provide essential resources for survivors. Your support keeps us going, and we are committed to ensuring that the SAFE Space program becomes a reality soon.

Continuing the Mission

Though we didn't reach our ultimate goal, we consider Casino Night a triumph because of the outpouring of support from our community. Every dollar raised, every prize won, and every conversation had is a step closer to creating safe, supportive spaces for survivors.

Our work isn’t done yet, and we invite you to stay connected as we continue our efforts. In the coming months, we will be hosting more events, including our upcoming Paint & Sip on October 18th in downtown Jackson, MS, where we will be painting memorial stones in honor of those we've lost to domestic violence in 2024. The stones will be placed on display as a tribute to those who are no longer with us in the Pascagoula Street Garden at the Art Center of Mississippi.

We are thankful for everyone who attended, donated, or simply supported us from afar. With your help, we’re moving closer to fulfilling the assignment God has given us: to provide safety, support, and healing for survivors of domestic abuse.

Stay tuned for more updates, and let’s continue to work together to make a difference!
